Mila Von Grunheide received two High in Trial awards yesterday in the Sporting Dog Obedience Trial in Surrey, BC for her first place finish in Open and her first place finish in Utility scores.
February 17, 2013 Video of Mila's first qualifying score in agility in Cloverdale, BC. It was her first trial and she had the fastest qualifying time in all height classes in this run through of Starters Jumpers.

Mila finished her CKC Utility title and her Canadian OTCh at the
Victoria City Kennel Club Obedience Trial taking a high in class. So
far, this being her first year in competitive obedience, Mila is #2
ranked GSD in CKC obedience in Canada. We are going to try and finish
#1 for the year! Our next goal in obedience is to get her UDX and
then her Canadian MOTCh before retiring from competitive obedience and
moving on to other ventures. This past year Mila has trained
extensively in agility and so next year will be focused more on
agility trialing - a brand new sport for both Mila and her mom. Mila
also got her Herding Instinct Certificate this past summer; dabbling
in herding and more emphasis on tracking are around the corner. She
has been a delight to train and the kind of dog that picks up anything
you put before her!

Mila's first Open trial.
Mila is new to the competitive ring, having just completed her Rally Novice title with two wins and a perfect score in the summer of 2010. She will soon be competiting for her CKC obedience titles, advanced rally-o titles and is also currently in training for tracking and agility. Feminine, stylish and like the lash of a whip, this ball-driven little girl is a much treasured dog in the household, wonderful with children and handy at cleaning up apples that have fallen from the tree in the back yard. She is an absolute joy to train and work.
